Local Autism Spectrum and Disability Resources for Southwest Washington and Portland Metropolitan Area
Hello! If you’re new to our website or haven’t been here in awhile, we have an important update to the Autism Empowerment Southwest Washington and Portland Metro resource guide and portal.
We have made many user-friendly improvements to our resource directory and have a new page for you to bookmark and share:

In 2018, Autism Empowerment launched our portal directory of local autism and disability resource providers at our sister website, SpectrumLife.org. This website is a program of Autism Empowerment and is home to our educational and inspirational nonprofit publication Spectrum Life Magazine as well as our Spectrum Life Resource Directory.
As of 2022, we have over 1,800 autism and disability service providers, groups, and agencies that can be searched for locally, regionally and nationwide. What’s great is that providers (support groups, clinicians, agencies and other professionals who serve our community) get a free listing which they can update themselves with information about their services. The majority of the current listings are in the Southwest Washington and Portland metro area, however we also include listings throughout the nation.
On the Spectrum Life website you can find:
- Current and back-issues of Spectrum Life Magazine from January 2018 to present in digital magazine format.
- Back-issues of Spectrums Magazine from 2013 – 2017 in digital magazine format (we changed our name to Spectrum Life Magazine in 2018)
- Separate blog articles for all stories in current and past issues. (Makes for easier reading and sharing if you’re looking for a particular topic or writer.)
- Spectrum Life Resource Directory with over 1,800 listings and the ability for directory members to edit and enhance their own listings to better serve our community.
- Events Directory of Autism Empowerment and other community provider events.

There are also dozens of sub-categories to help you find what you’re looking for whether it be support groups, assessment and diagnosis or employment services. We also allow you to search by keywords and zip code.
By clicking here or on the Spectrum Life Magazine icon below, you will be taken off the Autism Empowerment website and a new link will open up on the Spectrum Life website to our Resource Directory where you may search by category.
