Gary Borghello
Bio
Gary Borghello was born and raised in Daly City, California and moved to Vancouver, Washington in 2009. He is currently in semi-retirement from 35+ years in Corporate America, most recently as Engagement Manager at Smart Recruiters and previously as Principal Architect for Cornerstone OnDemand.
Currently, Gary is enjoying semi-retirement by working as a Paraeducator at Skyview High School and serving as Coach for the Skyview Stormbots Robotics team. He also enjoys volunteering as a leader with the Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene Youth Group.
Gary and Julie have two children, one with ADHD and SPD and the other with autism and speech apraxia. In addition to his work with Autism Empowerment, Gary served on the Board of Special Education Parent Teacher Student Association (SEPTSA) from 2014 – 2018 in various roles, including President, Vice President and Secretary. He enjoys making connections throughout the Special Education community in Southwest Washington. Gary also assists Julie with Salmon Creek TOPSoccer, an inclusive accessible soccer team for players with disabilities.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Personnel and Industrial Relations) from San Francisco State University.
In his spare time, Gary enjoys golfing, gardening, and spending time with his family at the beach.
